Ute Lemper – Songs for Eternity

German Premier of the new Program
MO 06.11.2017 (07:30 pm)

Alongside the Italian pianist and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, Ute Lemper developed the program “Songs for Eternity”, with songs originating from ghettos and concentration camps from the years 1942 to 1944, which they found all over the world and will now be heard in Germany for the first time. Ute Lemper who has been living in New York for a long time and who is married to the Jewish musician Todd Turkisher feels that it is her duty to engage in the dialogue about the past, to remind of the crimes of the Shoah and to tell the tales and sing the songs of the people, like in the “Songs for Eternity”.
